It’s done everything that the brand-name drug did,Doug says,plus it’s much cheaper. Those generic savings have really come in handy, because I’ve been able to help my grandchildren with their college savings.
Doug isn’t the only Florida senior saving with generics. In 2019, the use of safe, effective and affordable generic medicines saved Florida’s patients and taxpayers $19.1 billion, including $6.9 billion in Medicare savings and $1.9 billion in Medicaid savings.
