Senior Vice President, Government Affairs

Mark Ratner serves as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at the Association for Accessible Medicines, where he leads the organization’s advocacy strategy to advance policies that improve patient access to affordable generic and biosimilar medicines. With more than two decades of experience on Capitol Hill, Mark brings a deep well of bipartisan and bicameral relationships, paired with a proven track record in health policy and coalition-building.

Prior to joining AAM, Mark served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Bryan Steil, Chairman of the Committee on House Administration. He previously served as Director of Coalitions for the Senate HELP Committee and spent over 16 years working for Congressman Fred Upton and the Energy and Commerce Committee. During his time in Congress, Mark played a key role in passing major bipartisan legislation such as the 21st Century Cures Act, the Drug Quality and Security Act, and many others. Mark holds a BA in Public Policy from Michigan State University.
