WASHINGTON DC (JULY 17, 2017) – Today, Kristin Murphy joins the Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM) as Director of Federal Affairs. Also, effective today, Michael Brzica has been promoted to Vice President, Federal Government Affairs.
Prior to joining AAM, Kristin was part of the legislative affairs team at the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA). Over the last four years, she advanced ASCA’s agenda and priorities, including achieving significant success for the association with the 21st Century Cures Act last year. Kristin has advocated on a range of health care issues, from Medicare payment issues to drug shortages and compounding pharmacies. She also worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Rick Larsen (D-WA) and on former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle’s re-election campaign in South Dakota (her home state).
Michael Brzica has been with the AAM team since 2015 in its Government Affairs department. Before AAM, Michael was a lobbyist for the American Dental Association. Previous to that position, he worked in the office of Legislative Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives. He holds a law degree from Creighton University School of Law.
