Senior Director, Policy

Michael Sargent is Senior Director, Policy at the Association for Accessible Medicines, where he is responsible for leading the development of policy positions; engaging as a subject matter expert with policymakers, including state and federal legislators, the Administration, and other agencies; and working closely with member companies and constituent groups to support outreach and relationship management of key partners to further AAM’s mission and strategic policy goals.

Michael Sargent has held senior positions in health care for over 20 years, focusing on policy and regulatory affairs, government relations and strategy and corporate development. Prior to joining AAM, Michael served as a senior policy director for CVS Health, where he directed multiple company initiatives in state and federal healthcare programs and brand and reputation strategy. He previously directed government affairs programs at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and the Consumer Healthcare Products Association.

Michael holds a BA from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in public administration from Suffolk University.
