We measure our success as an industry by the lives we impact. The staff of the Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM) share a commitment to expanding access for American patients to the medicines they need. When patients can access the safe, quality medicines not only do their health outcomes improve, but they also gain peace of mind and the resources to enrich other parts of their lives.
AAM team members are able to spark new initiatives when the need arises. One example is the Women in Health Policy (WiHP) network which emerged out of the need for women to amplify their professional advancement and share their cross-sector health care policy experience and expertise.
This nonpartisan community prioritizes inclusion and diverse perspectives. This network grew to over 500 members in just the first year!
AAM Fit is an employee initiative that supports AAM’s mission and brand values. The private group provides fitness tools, resources and events for the team, where they can compete and interact at a more personal level. It is also a platform for AAM to publicly share its commitment to improving health by participating in partner-led fitness events such as SOME’s annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot for Hunger which raises money for the poor and homeless.
The AAM team also participates annually to contribute to homeless shelters and other charities that support health and well-being in the Washington D.C. area.’
The Biosimilars Council, a division of the Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM), works to ensure a positive environment for patient access to biosimilar medicines. The Biosimilars Council is a leading source for information about the safety and efficacy of more affordable alternatives to costly brand biologic medicines. Areas of focus include public and health expert education, strategic partnerships, government affairs, legal affairs and regulatory policy. More information is available at www.biosimilarscouncil.org.
Recently, AAM started to showcase employee pets on social media. You can follow @AAMDogs on Twitter and Instagram to view the faithful and photogenic pups of the hoomans working to assure access to generic and biosimilar medicines.
These days, working from home, we’re more inspired by our dogs — and now cats!—than ever. We love to share our companion animals with you and meet yours.
Generic and biosimilar medicines make it easier and more affordable for patients to live healthier lives.
